The Schaan-Vaduz Youth Hostel is the only youth hostel in Liechtenstein, a member of the Hostelling International network. Set in a bright, modern building halfway between Schaan and Vaduz, it offers 22 rooms and dormitories totalling 110 beds, with shared bathroom facilities on each floor. Eight rooms are step-free and the hostel has a lift as well as wheelchair-adapted toilets and showers. The large garden invites guests to relax on loungers with views over the Rhine valley and surrounding mountains, and includes a football pitch, a children's playground and table-tennis tables. A restaurant serves a breakfast buffet and evening meals, and barbecue food is offered outdoors when the weather allows. Free Wi-Fi is available in the common areas. The hostel also rents out bicycles and offers ski storage, making it an ideal base for exploring the region on foot or by bike.

The hostel lies west of the road connecting Vaduz and Schaan, in the heart of the Rhine valley, about 300 metres from the Schaan Quader bus stop and 1.3 km from Schaan-Vaduz railway station. The capital Vaduz, with Vaduz Castle and the Liechtenstein Treasure Chamber, is about 2.4 km away, and Schalun Castle is also nearby. The area is ideal for hiking and cycling along the Rhine, and the Malbun ski resort is around a 20-minute drive away. The nearest airport is Sankt Gallen-Altenrhein, about 37 km away.
