Schesaplanahütte
SAC hut at 1,908 m below the Schesaplana, a gateway to Liechtenstein: 66 places in dormitory and double rooms, panoramic terrace, on-site catering.
The Schesaplanahütte is a Swiss Alpine Club mountain hut (Pfannenstiel section), perched at 1,908 metres on the southern foot of the Rätikon range, just below the Schesaplana summit (2,965 m). Although it lies on the Swiss side, in Seewis im Prättigau in Graubünden, it is a classic starting point for cross-border hikes into Liechtenstein and Vorarlberg. The hut offers 66 sleeping places on mattresses with duvets, including six rustic-style double rooms and a main dormitory; all beds have Nordic duvets and guests are advised to bring their own liner sleeping bag. Lighting is solar-powered, and toilets, washbasins and showers (extra charge) are available. A large outdoor terrace lets guests enjoy the alpine panorama over a meal or drink prepared on site. A winter shelter with a small kitchen and eight beds remains accessible outside the staffed season.

Location & surroundings
The hut stands high in the mountains, south of the Rätikon range, on the Graubünden slope of Seewis im Prättigau, near the border between Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein. It is a popular stop for high-altitude hikes and ascents of the Schesaplana summit, as well as for traverses linking the Prättigau to Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein. Access is on foot only, via mountain trails from the surrounding valleys. The Malbun ski resort in Liechtenstein is about ten kilometres away as the crow flies. The nearest airport is Sankt Gallen-Altenrhein, about 50 km away.
