Schaan

Historic inn since 1837 in Gams (Switzerland), run by the Kremmel family: gourmet restaurant and views over the Rhine Valley and Liechtenstein.

Perched on the Gamserberg hillside above the village of Gams (canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland), the Hotel Restaurant Zollhaus occupies a former inn first recorded in 1837. Since 1992 the house has been run by the Kremmel family, who have preserved the charm of this historic staging post while modernising the guest experience. The restaurant, a member of the Swiss Guild of Master Chefs and the Golden Fish Round Table, showcases regional, seasonal cuisine highlighting Rhine Valley produce. A handful of rooms allow guests to extend their stay and fully enjoy the exceptional panorama stretching from the terrace over the Werdenberg Rhine Valley and, in the distance, towards Liechtenstein. A place steeped in history, combining refined cuisine with a sweeping Alpine view.
